It is not a book for casual or light reading. It is a book that is real and gritty. It is a book that makes you take a look at yourself. The person we want to think we are. The person we actually are and the person we could be.Book clubs, avid readers, and spiritualists will enjoy reading this, discussing it, and reflecting what they would do in every character's place. Not every book has a happily ever after. Not every person heals as they need to. Not every person can be saved.I think that's what sets this book apart from everything else mainstream and makes it special.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Kids Book!
Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2006
I first learned about this book at work, so I bought it for my daughters ages 7 and 4. This is a great book with a story about a little dragon who hasn't gotten his wings yet, and the children who help him. I think it is good for children because it teaches them about helping others. It is also a book about friendship. Easy to follow for children, and has a great story line. If your child likes adventure, this book is for them. I read it and really loved it! Congrats to the author for writing a great childrens book! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Children's Story!
Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2006
This was a wonderful children's story. My 9 year old insists that we read it together at bedtime. It's the perfect blend of fantasy and reality.
The author did a wonderful job of creating a very visual environment. It was easy to get sucked into the story and see everything the characters were seeing.
I would highly recommend this book!
